Raiders Dominate CCC-Georgia, 74-26
NICEVILLE, Fla. — No. 3 Northwest Florida State women's basketball closed out the 2025 calendar year in dominant fashion Tuesday night, rolling past Community Christian College–Georgia, 74-26, at Raider Arena.
The Raiders controlled the game from the opening tip, building an early lead and never allowing the Knights to find any offensive rhythm. Northwest Florida's depth was on full display, as 11 of the 13 players on the roster logged minutes, with nine different Raiders finding the scoring column.
Khoudia Diagne continued her strong stretch of play, leading all scorers with 19 points while adding seven rebounds. Carrington Jones followed with an efficient night of her own, finishing with 15 points and eight rebounds. Emma Whitaker delivered a standout performance on the glass, pulling down a career-high 10 rebounds to lead all players.
Northwest Florida shot 45 percent from the field and set a season high with 51 total rebounds, including 21 on the offensive end, consistently creating second-chance opportunities. The Raiders' defense was equally impressive, holding Community Christian to just 25.5 percent shooting from the floor. The Knights were limited to 8.3 percent from beyond the arc and 25.0 percent at the free-throw line.
The 48-point victory capped a commanding performance that highlighted Northwest Florida's balance, effort, and defensive intensity as the Raiders head into the new year with momentum firmly on their side.
The Raiders set the tone immediately in the opening quarter, racing out to a 33–4 advantage. Khoudia Diagne ignited the early surge with multiple finishes in the paint, while Northwest Florida's pressure defense forced a flurry of turnovers. The Raiders capitalized on those mistakes, turning steals into quick points and controlling the glass on both ends. Three-point shooting from Kelsey Corporan, Nia Harz, and Jadah White helped stretch the lead, while Diagne's activity inside anchored a stifling defensive effort that limited Community Christian to just two field goals in the first 10 minutes.
Northwest Florida continued to pour it on in the second quarter, extending the margin to 54–15 at halftime. The Raiders dominated second-chance opportunities, grabbing offensive rebounds and converting them into high-percentage looks. Caitlyn Jones and Kiara Williams provided strong minutes off the bench, while the defensive intensity never wavered, holding the Knights to just 11 points in the frame.
The third quarter mirrored the first two, as Northwest Florida steadily widened the gap to 66–21. Diagne, Harz, and Corporan continued to lead the way offensively, while the Raiders' defense limited clean looks and controlled the tempo. Northwest Florida forced contested shots, protected the rim, and pushed the ball in transition to keep the pressure constant.
With the outcome well in hand, the Raiders used the fourth quarter to showcase their depth. Every possession remained competitive, highlighted by strong bench contributions and continued defensive effort, including a late three from Nia Wilkins to cap the scoring. Northwest Florida closed out the convincing 48-point victory with composure, balance, and intensity from start to finish, showcasing a complete team performance on both ends of the floor.
