Henry Leads Raiders in 16-0 Win Over Pensacola
NICEVILLE, Fla. — Hailey Henry went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Northwest Florida to a 16-0 shutout win over Pensacola State on Saturday. Henry homered in the second inning and added singles in the first and fourth to cap off a dominant performance.
The Raiders set the tone early, exploding for nine runs in the opening inning. Savannah Carter highlighted the surge with a three-run homer, while AJ Vineski and Henry each drove in a run. Bre Hughes delivered a three-run double, and Karson McGowan added an RBI double to round out the inning.
Northwest Florida added to its lead in the second on Henry's solo home run, and Marlee Parsons followed with a solo shot in the third.
In the circle, Savannah Carter earned the win, tossing two scoreless innings while allowing three hits and striking out three. Parsons and Mallory Baker combined for the remaining shutout frames in relief.
The Raiders totaled 17 hits on the day, with Hughes leading the team with four RBIs while going 2-for-3. Vineski and Isabelle Warrick also recorded multiple hits. Northwest Florida was aggressive on the base paths with four stolen bases and played a clean game defensively without committing an error.
