Raiders Push Winning Streak to 18 with Wins Over Olney Central and Daytona State

NICEVILLE, Fla. — Northwest Florida State softball continued its dominant run on Friday, extending its winning streak to 18 games with convincing victories over Olney Central and Daytona State.

Game One: Northwest Florida 12, Olney Central 0

Northwest Florida rolled past Olney Central behind a huge day from Karson McGowan, who drove in five runs on two hits. McGowan doubled in the third inning to score a run, then delivered the knockout blow in the fourth with a grand slam to center field.

The Raiders wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, plating four runs in the first inning with help from aggressive baserunning and timely extra-base hits. Northwest Florida added four more runs in the third before erupting for another four in the fourth to put the game away early.

Mallory Baker earned the win in the circle, tossing three hitless innings while allowing no runs. Isabelle Warrick was equally effective in relief, throwing two shutout innings and striking out two. The Raiders' pitching staff combined to allow zero hits in the run-rule victory.

Game Two: Northwest Florida 8, Daytona State 2

In the nightcap, the Raiders answered an early two-run first inning from Daytona State with a steady offensive response.

McGowan once again sparked the lineup, tying the game in the first inning with a two-run double. Northwest Florida took control in the second as Haley Hughes drove in two more runs with a double, giving the Raiders a 4–2 advantage.

The Raiders continued to apply pressure in the middle innings, scoring three runs in the third on RBI singles from Anna Grace Griggs, Isabelle Warrick, and Bre Hughes. Northwest Florida added an insurance run in the sixth to cap the scoring.

Marlee Parsons earned the complete-game win, allowing just two runs on seven hits across seven innings while issuing no walks and striking out four.

With the pair of wins, Northwest Florida remains unbeaten and continues to set the pace as one of the nation's hottest teams.
