ONLINE VERSION

NICEVILLE, Fla. – As 2024 winds down, Northwest Florida State Softball is gearing up for another thrilling season. After a record-breaking 58-win campaign and a second consecutive appearance in the NJCAA Final Four, head coach Andy Lee and his team are ready to build on their success.

The Raiders bring a fresh roster filled with young talent but will benefit from the leadership of four returning veterans, including two All-Americans from last year's dynamic squad.

The much-anticipated season kicks off with a three-game home series against Richard Bland College on January 24-25. From there, the Raiders will head to Youngsville, Ala., from January 31 to February 2 for the Mardi Gras Classic, where they'll face Angelina, Bossier Parish, Alvin, Lamar State, and UA Rich Mountain.

Continuing on the road, the Raiders travel to Panama City, Fla., on February 8-9 for a four-game round-robin against Jones, Chattanooga State, Daytona State, and Wabash Valley. They return home February 11-12 for back-to-back doubleheaders against Coastal Alabama-South and Enterprise State.

The schedule then takes them to Gulf Shores, Ala., for the Coyote Classic on February 14-15, featuring games against Meridian, LSU-Eunice, Central Alabama, and Copiah-Lincoln. After a quick home doubleheader with Bishop State on February 18, the team travels to Oxford, Ala., for another round-robin on February 21-22, with opponents to be announced.

February wraps up with several home doubleheaders: against Lurleen B. Wallace and Wallace-Dothan on February 24-25 and Snead State on February 28.

March begins with a road trip to Montgomery, Ala., for two games against Reid State on March 4. From March 7-9, the Raiders will host Lansing, Carl Sandburg, and Rock Valley in Niceville for a trio of doubleheaders.

Panhandle Conference play opens March 12 with a road doubleheader against Tallahassee State, followed by the Raiders' conference home opener against Gulf Coast State on March 15. Other key matchups include games at Pensacola on March 19, against Chipola in Niceville on March 22, and hosting Tallahassee on March 29. The Raiders will also face Gulf Coast in Panama City on April 2 and Pensacola at home on April 5 before a road game at Chipola on April 9.

The regular season concludes with single games starting April 16 in Tallahassee, followed by a home game against Gulf Coast on April 19, a road game at Pensacola on April 23, and the finale at home against Chipola on April 26.

Postseason action kicks off with the FCSAA State Softball Championship from May 7-10 at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla., followed by the NJCAA Softball World Series, which moves to Yuma, Ariz., for the first time this year, from May 19-24.
