Jadyn Shider Named NJCAA Region 8 DI Player of The Week

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – After an impressive performance last week against seventh-ranked Indian Hills College, FCSAA revealed earlier today that Jadyn Shider has been named the Region 8 DI Men's Player of the Week.

Shider, a sophomore forward from Albany, Georgia, put on a show last week against the Warriors. He recorded 20 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks, securing his third double-double of the season, which helped the Raiders to a 79-63 victory over Indian Hills.

The second year Raider now has four games this season where he has reached double-figure rebounding numbers, including yesterday against Coastal Alabama-South where he recorded 11 total boards. Shider currently ranks eighth in the nation in field goal percentage (75.4%) and 39th in rebounds per game (9.6).

Shider and the Raiders will look to continue their hot start to the season today against Trinity Valley College when the Raiders take on the Cardinals in Pensacola, FL, beginning at 4:00 PM (CST).
