BSB Week 4: Raiders Continue Home Stand with Five Games This Week

NICEVILLE, Fla. — Northwest Florida baseball continues its extended home stand this week with five more games at home, beginning Tuesday with a nine-inning matchup against Lurleen B. Wallace before welcoming Bishop State and Shelton State for a four-game set Friday and Saturday.

The Raiders are coming off a strong 4–1 week that included three wins over Motlow State and a road victory against Coastal Alabama–South. Northwest Florida opened its 2026 home slate last weekend with a split doubleheader Friday before sweeping both games Saturday to secure the four-game series over the Bucks.

Who, When, Where

Northwest Florida opens the week Tuesday afternoon with a single nine-inning contest against Lurleen B. Wallace at 3:00 p.m. The Saints enter the matchup at 5–3 on the season but are coming off back-to-back losses to John A. Logan and Pensacola State.

The Raiders return to action Friday to host Bishop State and Shelton State in a pair of doubleheaders. Friday's action begins with Bishop State at 11:00 a.m., followed by a 5:00 p.m. matchup against Shelton State. The series wraps up Saturday with two more seven-inning games against Shelton State beginning at noon.

Last Week

Northwest Florida opened the week with a dominant 21–8 road win over Coastal Alabama. Angel Santiago and Kaden Hart led the offensive surge, with Santiago going 4-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBIs, while Hart finished 3-for-6 with two homers and six RBIs.

The Raiders then opened their home stand with a four-game series against Motlow State. After splitting Friday's doubleheader—rallying for a 7–5 win in game one before falling 12–5 in game two—Northwest Florida responded emphatically Saturday, sweeping both games by a combined score of 26–1.

Anthony Quigley and Santiago paced the Raiders at the plate for the week. Quigley went 9-for-16 with seven extra-base hits, four home runs, and 11 RBIs, while Santiago finished 9-for-17 with four extra-base hits, two home runs, and nine RBIs.

On the mound, the entire pitching staff saw action, with Presley Woodson and Tucker Delisle logging the most innings. Delisle tossed 4.0 innings Saturday, allowing just one hit and no earned runs while striking out four. Woodson added 5.0 innings, surrendering three hits and one earned run with six strikeouts.

Anthony St. Vincent was sharp out of the bullpen, throwing 2.0 hitless innings across two appearances, striking out four and recording the save in Friday's opener.

Orlando Fernandez leads the Raiders with 19 hits while batting .475 with nine extra-base hits, two home runs, and 13 RBIs.
Anthony Quigley is batting .441 with 15 hits, nine extra-base hits, a team-high six home runs, seven walks, and 20 RBIs. He currently leads the nation in home runs and ranks second in RBIs and total bases.
Angel Santiago is hitting .375 with 15 hits, five extra-base hits, two home runs, eight walks, and 12 RBIs.
Presley Woodson leads the staff with 10.2 innings pitched and owns a 2.53 ERA, ranking second on the team with 10 strikeouts.
Alex Kruse and Anthony St. Vincent have yet to allow an earned run this season. Kruse has tossed 5.0 innings with eight strikeouts, while St. Vincent has thrown 4.1 innings with two saves.
