NWF Women’s Hoops Inks Talented Trio

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida women's basketball head coach Bart Walker has announced the signing of Shelbee Brown, Last-Tear Poa, and Noelani Cornfield.

"We're extremely excited about the Shelbee, Last-Tear, and Noelani joining our program," Walker said. "All three bring unique talents and traits to our team and we are looking forward to the upcoming year with them as Raiders."

Shelbee Brown | 5-11, Forward | Memphis, Tenn. | Whitehaven HS

Brown led Whitehaven High School to the TSSAA Division I state title game before the COVID-19 scare shut down the team's season. Brown averaged 12.1 points for Whitehaven during their historic season.

 

Last-Tear Poa | 5-11, Forward | Melbourne, Australia | Dandenong Rangers

Averaged 16.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists for the Victoria Metro U-20 women's team in 2019. Poa also played 17 games for Dandenong Rangers landing 61 points.

 

Noelani Cornfield | 5-6, Guard | Gowanda, New York | Lake Shore HS

Cornfield averaged 13.6 points and 5.5 steals as a junior at Lake Shore High School. For her club team, NTC Gauchos, the 5-6 guard posted 15 points, 6.5 assists per contest.
