NICEVILLE, Fla. – Rayven Peeples scored 25 points and hauled in 11 rebounds to lead No. 8 Northwest Florida women's basketball to a 73-56 win over Tallahassee on Saturday in Raider Arena.
Peeples dropped a season-high 25 points on 10-fo14 shooting, including a 5-for-8 mark from the free throw line. Chanaya Pinto added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Fapou Semebene has 12 points to go along with eight boards.
Sedayjha Payne led the way for Tallahassee (9-7, 0-2 PC) with 18 points. Polina Nikulochkina had 16 points in the losing effort.
The Raiders (16-3, 1-2) shot 43.1 percent for the game and made 19 of 25 shots from the charity stripe. NWF also outrebounded its opponent 43-26 and turned 15 offensive boards into 13 second chance points.
Next up, Northwest Florida travels to take on Pensacola on Saturday, Jan. 18.
