NWF Women Travel for Courtyard/Downtown Capital Classic

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Fourth-ranked Northwest Florida women's basketball travel to Tallahassee to take part in the Courtyard/Downtown Capital Classic Friday and Saturday.

The Raiders (5-0) will play College of Central Florida Friday at noon before taking on Snow College Saturday at 11 a.m.

Northwest Florida is coming off two dominate wins over USC Salk and Denmark Tech in the NWF Classic last week. The Raiders two wins came by an average 68.5 points. Laura Taylor came off the bench in the tournament finale to score 21 points highlighted by five 3-pointers. 

Central Florida (5-2) had its five-game winning streak snapped in an 88-81 loss to St. Petersburg on Tuesday. Snow (5-2) made the trip from Utah and took two of three games in the Pizza Hut Invitational in Casper, Wyo., last week.
