Lady Raiders shut out Pensacola 2-0

Northwest Florida State College defeated Pensacola State Pirates Varsity 2-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Northwest Florida State College pitchers struck out six, while Pensacola State Pirates Varsity pitchers sat down one.

One bright spot for Pensacola State Pirates Varsity was a single by Kayla Leibman in the first inning.

Amber Byrd got the start for Northwest Florida State College . She surrendered zero runs on six hits over five innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Kaeleen Koehler got the start for Pensacola State Pirates Varsity. She allowed two hits and two runs over four innings. Jensen Strickland threw three innings in relief.

Mallory Druhan, Venice Sanders, Summer Frye, and Thalia Vieira Da Silva all had one hit to lead Northwest Florida State College .

Leibman led Pensacola State Pirates Varsity with two hits in three at bats. Pensacola State Pirates Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Danielle De Ruiter had the most chances in the field with five.
