Raiders sweep Tallahassee to pick up their first 2 conference wins

GAME 1 RECAP:

Northwest Florida State College nabbed the lead late in the game in an 11-8 victory over Tallahassee Community College on Thursday. The game was tied at five with Northwest Florida State College batting in the top of the sixth when Mallory Druhan hit a solo homer.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Northwest Florida State College collected nine hits and Tallahassee Community College 12 in the high-scoring affair

Amber Byrd led things off on the hill for Northwest Florida State College . She surrendered five runs on seven hits over four and a third innings, walking one.

S Mathis toed the rubber for Tallahassee Community College. She lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and 11 runs while striking out six.

Northwest Florida State College tallied two home runs on the day. Druhan put one out in the sixth inning. Venice Sanders went yard in the fifth inning.

Northwest Florida State College scattered nine hits in the game. Kayla Harris and Druhan each collected multiple hits for Northwest Florida State College . Druhan and Harris all had two hits to lead Northwest Florida State College .

Tallahassee Community College totaled 12 hits. I Poot, B Callaway, O Russell, and S Malik each managed multiple hits for Tallahassee Community College.

GAME 2 RECAP:

Northwest Florida State College defeated Tallahassee Community College 10-5 on Thursday.

Northwest Florida State College got things moving in the second inning, when Emily Sinclair hit a solo homer.

Tallahassee Community College evened things up at three in the bottom of the third inning when M Marquet homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Northwest Florida State College pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Elizabeth Link singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs and Thalia Vieira Da Silva singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Cardaejia Talley led things off on the rubber for Northwest Florida State College . She lasted two and a third innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out one and walking one.

S Williams toed the rubber for Tallahassee Community College. She went four and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on ten hits and striking out two. S Mathis threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Northwest Florida State College hit two home runs on the day. Summer Frye had a long ball in the second inning. Sinclair had a dinger in the second inning.

Northwest Florida State College collected 14 hits on the day. Kayla Harris, Da Silva, Frye, Venice Sanders, and Nai'a Sylvia all had multiple hits for Northwest Florida State College . Harris went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Northwest Florida State College in hits.
