NICEVILLE, Fla. – Breaux Bridge High School standout DeAndre Hypolite has signed to play for Northwest Florida, Raiders men's basketball head coach Butch Pierre announced.
Hypolite, a 6-6 guard/forward, was named LSWA Class 4A All-State last season alongside fellow Raider signee Melvion Flanagan.
"He can cause matchup problems," Pierre said. "He's good around the goal and can step out on the perimeter and guard smaller guys. DeAndre makes all the right plays, another guy with all the intangibles."
Hypolite averaged 15.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game leading his team to its second straight state title game. In the state semifinal game, Hypolite scored 11 points with 10 rebounds, six assists, four steals and a block.
