NICEVILLE, Fla. – Tallahassee knocked down 13 three-pointers en route to a 76-66 win over Northwest Florida on Saturday in Raider Arena.
Tallahassee (17-3, 2-0) led by as many as 13 early in the second half but Northwest Florida battled back and cut the deficit to five on an Anthony Mason layup with 5:35 to play. The Eagles' final triple of the night proved to be the dagger as Tariq Silver drilled a jumper from beyond the arc with 1:10 left on the clock pushing the TCC lead to 11.
Northwest Florida scored 40 of its 66 points in the paint and turned the ball over just eight times, the third time with fewer than 10 turnovers in a game this season.
Next up, Northwest Florida travels to take on Pensacola on Saturday, Jan. 18.
