Northwest Florida Set for JUCO Shootout

NICEVILLE, Fla.  – Northwest Florida men's basketball travels to Gainesville to participate in the JUCO Shootout, Dec. 14-15.

The Raiders (9-3) take on USC Salk Saturday and Daytona State Sunday, each game tips at 4 p.m. Unfortunately, neither of the games will be live streamed.

As a team, NWF ranks eighth in the nation averaging 6.2 blocks per game and is led individually by Jourdan Smith with 1.9 per game. The Raiders also stand top 50 in the country in points allowed per game (22nd, 65.2), opponent field goal percentage (16th, 38.1), and defensive rebounds per game (45th, 30.2).

Marseilles Caston looks to continue his hot streak. The freshman has scored 20-plus points in each of the team's last two outings, including 26 in the Raiders' 79-54 win over Coastal Alabama – North on Dec. 5.

Northwest Florida has won two straight entering the weekend and has taken five of its last seven.
