Northwest Florida State College head men's basketball coach Steve DeMeo will be making two appearances at coaching conventions in the next couple of weeks.
He heads to Minneapolis on Friday to speak at the Collegiate Coaching Consortium held at this year's NCAA Men's Final Four. The consortium is a collaboration between AthleticDirectorU and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). This event is held yearly during the Final Four and it allows basketball coaches and athletic directors to partake in a multi-day academy where participants can learn how to build a better team and athletic program.
DeMeo will speak Friday, April 5th in a session that speaks on how to separate yourself from other candidates once you've landed an interview for your dream job.

The following week, DeMeo will be giving a presentation at the Nike Championship Basketball Clinic in Chicago. DeMeo's session will be on Sunday, April 14th and it will cover "Switching Defenses and Defending Ball Screens".
The clinic will be held at Benedictine University and will feature coaches from around the nation, including Bruce Weber (Kansas State), Brad Underwood (Illinois), Mike Thibault (Washington Mystics, all-time winningest WNBA coach), and several others.
