NICEVILLE, FL - Sophomore pitcher Conor Angel signed with the University of Louisiana-Lafayette on Wednesday, November 14th.
The Lachine, Canada native will head to Lafayette for the 2019-20 season where he will join head coach Tony Robichaux. The Ragin Cajuns went 34-25 last year, with their season ending in the Sun Belt conference tournament.
During his freshman campaign, Angel made 15 appearances on the mound for the Raiders. He started 6 of those games, throwing 25.2 total innings and striking out 28 batters.
"Conor has always had really good stuff and this fall he was able to throw more strikes," says NWF head coach Doug Martin. "He has a huge upside and should make an immediate contribution to Louisiana."
