Raiders take tough blow from Chipola

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity had trouble keeping up with Chipola in a 10-1 loss on Tuesday.

In the first inning, Chipola got their offense started when Alex Webb singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity evened things up at one in the bottom of the third inning. Jake Randa singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Chipola pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Edmond Americaan singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Francisco Urbaez singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Max Guzman singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, Jared Howell's sac fly scored one run for Chipola, and Julio Carrion singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Andrew Grogan toed the rubber for Chipola. He went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Thomas Farr got the start for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He went four innings, allowing seven runs on 12 hits and striking out three. Conor Angel and Jackson Sloan entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.

Randa, Thomas Broyles, Miguel Cienfuegos, Kaden Polcovich, and Grant Stewart each collected one hit to lead Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity.

Chipola totaled 14 hits in the game. Urbaez, Howell, Americaan, and Webb all collected multiple hits for Chipola. Urbaez led Chipola with three hits in five at bats. Chipola didn't commit a single error in the field. Webb had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
